Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a software application, typically used in conjunction with corporate telephony hardware, which recognises spoken commands. Typically used for helping callers navigate corporate directories and phonebooks or for other types of menu-driven services. Usually limited in the number of commands that can be recognised.
