The cost depends on the type of messages you plan to send to your customers in Egypt. Marketing messages are the most expensive. Please see the «Pricing» section for approximate prices. You can also check the current prices with our account manager.
Yes, that is possible. For example, if you plan to send WhatsApp messages not only in Egypt but also to other countries around the world. Please contact our account manager to discuss this option.
No, prices vary depending on the country. For example, if part of your customer base is in Egypt and the other part is in the US, the WhatsApp campaigns for each will be charged at the applicable rates.
We can confidently say that our prices for the WhatsApp Business API in Egypt and other countries are competitive. Some destinations may be cheaper, whilst others may be more expensive. Compare the rates for the individual countries where you plan to send messages.
In any country, WhatsApp’s «Service» message category is the cheapest. These messages are free for you within a 24-hour conversation window, provided the other user initiated the conversation. When comparing paid message types, messages in the «Utility» and «Authentication» categories are the cheapest.
There are several options here. You can send more WhatsApp «Service» messages within 24-hour chat sessions. These are free, so they’ll help reduce your costs. Another option is to use omnichannel messaging, where WhatsApp can be one of several channels. For example, a user from Egypt requests an OTP code to log in to their personal account. If you have omnichannel messaging set up and the user has a Telegram account, the message will first be sent to them via Telegram as the cheapest channel. If this user from Egypt does not have a Telegram account, the system will then attempt to send the message via WhatsApp, Viber or SMS. You set the order of the channels yourself – from first to last. As a rule, the cheapest channel is set as the first, and the SMS channel, being the most expensive, is set as the last.
