Terms and definitions in messaging
Multichannel messaging service is based on a variety of telecommunication and Internet technologies. In the description of services, we often use abbreviations that may not always be known to you. Here we have compiled a glossary of terms and definitions used in the industry.
By the way, you can create account and send SMS to your customers via Dashboard, plugin or API integration.
GMT
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is a time zone, used in some European and African countries. It ceased to be a time-standard in 1972 when the time at every timezone in the world was standardised from Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). GMT is UTC +0. GMT does not shift in time between summer and winter, though some countries that use GMT switch to different time zones during their Daylight Saving Time period, for instance the UK switches to BST during the summer months.
